General Information
Rock Hill, South Carolina, founded in 1852, is a business-savvy blend of historic charm and responsibly implemented expansion. The city is located in the north-central area of South Carolina approximately 20 miles south of Charlotte, NC along the I-77 corridor. Rock Hill is a growing community of 67,000 residents, and the City encompasses over 36 square miles. Rock Hill is the largest city in York County, SC and the only major South Carolina city in the Charlotte area. Rock Hill enjoys balmy summers and mild winters. The average high temperature in summer is 87 degrees Fahrenheit while average highs in winter hover in the low 50’s.

Rock Hill Galleria is an enclosed shopping center conveniently located off I-77 at Exit 79, Dave Lyle Blvd. The Center is anchored by Belk, JCPenney, and Sears and offers a variety of specialty stores including Victoria’s Secret, Aeropostale, Foot Locker, Hot Topic, Yankee Candle, rue21, Kay Jewelers, and Bath & Body Works. Regular mall hours are 10am-9pm, Monday-Saturday and noon-6pm on Sunday.
- Historic Brattonsville
Historic Brattonsville presents the history of the Scots-Irish or Ulster-Scots in the South Carolina upcountry largely through preserving and interpreting the story of the Bratton family. Featuring more than 30 historic structures from the 1760s to the late 19th century, the site provides visitors with an opportunity to see the evolution of Southern culture and architecture in the South Carolina Piedmont.
